I have been involved with EDM for about three years and served on the annual golf outing for the past two years. EDM has been a great source for my family as a support group and a resource to deal with autism in our daily life.

I am the father of one autistic child. Today, he is mainstreamed about 80% in general education with his peers. But only a few years ago, he was barely verbal and we had to utilize sign language to communicate with him on basic need issues. Each day brings new challenges for him and us as we try to keep him on par with his peers in the classroom and world.
